Crush/Love

So what is the line between crush and love?
When do you go from saying "I have a crush on X" to "I am in love with X"??

Lot of people seem to think that a crush is a love that is not returned... like when you are "in love" with a movie star... but why is that not Love??

If we take that "Love is the Law, Love under Will" and "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law" Then Love=Will. And "For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result, is every way perfect." How can we say that this crush, a Love unassuaged of purpose, is not perfect? If it be your Will to love someone, even if the love is never returned, delivered from the lust of result, is this not a pure and perfect Love??

Or is it still just a crush???

WE three had gone out to rejoice in the greater feast of the old man who had for so long stayed in my dwelling. WE had brought his body and layed upon the pier. But though we could burn the body WE could not destroy his spirit of fear and doubt, which did make him hide his light from the world. Still we said the prayers and read from The Book. And when WE set the fire, from his burning heart leaped out the Bennu Hermit, and his brother born only to go with him to destroy fear and doubt. Oh, beautiful and strong Hermit. The light of your burning heart shall inflame the heart of all that see you so that the light shall consume the world, and all shall be of Love & Will & Love Under Will. And your brother shall go out and destroy fear and doubt. and they shall create a new universe.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to our patron loa:

In this big ice storm that hit NW Arkansas this week we only lost power for about 2.5 hours on Tuesday night, when there are those STILL that do not have power. Talking to everyone in the deli (where I work) that came in yesterday, it seems that I am the only one in the deli that did have power(still). Also though I could hear trees coming down by the river, the tress up at firefly proper are still standing. Also thank you Gran Boa for keeping the trees healthy.

So a quick updated after the fire:

All told, the first floor (the part we had used) is in pretty good shape. The top floor and roof is going to have to go, but the truth is it is going to be easyer this way to put on a new roof, as the old roof was JUST beams and tin, no under decking, and this way we will have some thing to stand on when putting on the roof. There is some smoke/water damage down stair, but very little. All and all most every thing is OK.

I will be moving the temple into the backroom as there is wholes above the one out there where you can see sky. Which means I will not have my nice 13 foot circle, but we will have some thing. And in time the temple will be back out there.

Firefly Ranch, is nothing if not change.....
So tonight, the BIG part of why we got the place.. changed....

The old Canning Factory (2 story, 150 foot X 50 foot ), build in the early 1920's, is gone. It BURNED up!!!! The guy nexts doors shade started fire, and it jump to our place. The house is OK and we are OK. But now my Temple is gone, and our plans for Firefly, will Change again.

And there also gose the planes for the weekend... no a2f for the wife's b-day Saturday :(

This is a zombie movie like no other. This is the most "real" look at zombies I have ever saw. From infomercials to self-help groups, viewers will be hardpressed to find a facit of America's often sheep-like pop-culture that isn't skewerd mercilessly. ZA also explores deeper themes of racial and social unrest, and notions of identity and self-worth, through the main story of Angela and her abusive boyfriend Josh. After an opening of raw emotional and filmmaking power, viewers follow Angela as she faces life after death, and Gina Ramsden is wonderful in her role as a ghoul who is far more human than the living around her. Like the dead in Scooter McCrea's SHATTER DEAD, all the zombies want is acceptance, and in Angela's case that's especially hard since she can barely accept herself.

Well today while getting ready for some work in the temple I came up with one.
